The Incident Response Plan page helps you prepare for cybersecurity incidents. From here you can view the plan, let the MapleGRC Assistant generate a suggested response plan, review and update details, and activate the plan when ready. You can also export the plan as a PDF so it’s accessible even if systems are down.
Go to app.maplegrc.com.
Log in with your account credentials.
From the homepage, navigate to the Incident Response Plan page.
Click Add Incident Plan (top-right).
2. Choose the incident type from the list.
3. Click Next — you’ll be navigated into the plan editor.
4. A new Page will be created for the selected incident response plan
5. Click Run analyzer to auto-generate content for each section of the incident response plan
6. When analysis completes, the app will ask you to refresh the page.
7. After refresh, click the gold star✨ on each section to view the suggested text, then click Autofill to insert it.
8. Repeat for every section "Preparation, Identification, Containment, Eradication, Recovery, Lesson Learned" until your plan is complete.
9. Add another incident plan and repeat all steps again
On the Incident Response Plans page you’ll see a table of all plans with columns for Plan, Owners, Status, Evidence, and Actions.
Assign an owner to review/amend the plan
Click Owners, select the responsible person, then Save. Owner can open the plan, review the autogenerated text, and amend any section as needed.
Add evidence
Click Evidence to attach supporting files.
You will be given the option to either upload an attachment from your existing company profile files or add a new file.
If you choose to upload from existing files, a list of all previously generated or uploaded files in your company profile will be displayed.
Select the desired file from the list
Click Add new File to upload a file from your computer.
From the Tag dropdown, choose one of: Policy, Procedure, Record, Checklist, or Other (specify).
Then, Click Upload Files
View or edit a plan
Click View Plan to open the editor.
Update the status
Click the Status dropdown and select the appropriate status: Draft, Active, Pending, Published, or Archived.
The Incident Response Plan page is required under CyberSecure Canada’s Baseline Controls and helps ensure your organization is prepared to manage security incidents quickly and effectively
